The 350-bed Brant Community Healthcare System, a 2010 Hamilton-Niagara Top 10 Employer and recipient of the Employer of the Year Award by the Ontario Registered Practical Nurses Association, is an affiliated teaching site of McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Brantford General Hospital is a regional acute care health centre and the Willett site provides urgent care and community outreach programs. Accreditation Canada determined the Brant Community Healthcare Sytem exceeds the national compliance rates for hospital Quality Dimensions & Standards by up to 32% in all categories and achieves all Required Organizational Practices for patient safety compared to national compliance rates that dropped as low as 37% in some categories.

Physician Recruitment Program

The Community Physician Recruitment Committee is a group of volunteers dedicated to recruiting specialists and family physicians to practice in Brantford and Brant County. Operating as a special committee of the Brant Community Healthcare System Board it is funded by the BCHS and the City of Brantford. 

The Medical Recruiter of the Brant Community Healthcare System manages all physician recruitment as well as Family Medicine recruitment for Brantford and Brant County.
