Tax Rates
Each year, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) prepares an assessment roll for every Ontario municipality. The roll provides the assessed value of all the properties in a municipality or in the jurisdiction of a school board with taxing authority. Realty Taxes are based on a percentage of the current value of your property as determined by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). For example, an industrial property in the City of Brantford with an assessed value of $500,000, would be subject to a tax rate of 5.958374%, resulting in annual taxes of $29,791.
