Brantford·Brant is serviced by three international airports within a 1-hour drive and the Brantford Municipal Airport located inside the region. Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport is Canada's largest airport and is located just one hour away from Brantford·Brant; providing daily flights to all major global destinations. John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, located just 20 minutes from Brantford·Brant , serves the surrounding area with turbo-prop service to American destinations. London International Airport, lying just one hour to the west, serves as a gateway for Southwestern Ontario's air transportion. The Brantford Municipal Airport is owned and operated by the City of Brantford and is located just five minutes immediately west of the City Centre.

Brantford Flying Club

The Brantford Flying Club operates the Brantford Municipal Airport for the City Airport Commission and is equipped to train pilots for private or commercial licenses. The Club is also equipped to give instruction in night flying, multi-engine, instructor, and instrument training. All instruction is supervised by government-licensed instructors.

Lounge facilities are at the disposal of Club members and may be used for business conferences when time is an important consideration. The airport cafeteria is open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Charter Flights are available in single and multi-engine aircraft. Arrangements are made with the Brantford Flying Club.

Water

Access to the St. Lawrence Seaway is available through the Port of Hamilton, which is located 30 minutes (24 miles/38km) from Brantford·Brant . The Hamilton Port is a key transhipment and industrial centre for both finished goods and raw materials, moving throughout Southern Ontario, Michigan, and Upper New York State.

Considered the finest natural harbour in the Great Lakes (4 miles long and up to 3 ½ miles wide), the Harbour is strategically positioned for convenient access to Canada's industrial heartland as well as major markets in the United States. On average, 12.5 million tonnes of cargo pass through the Harbour annually. Each shipment is handled by efficient and up-to-date services, including dry-docking, tugboats, stevedoring, ship chandelling and customs clearance. Fifteen fully operational piers are available with virtually unlimited ship berth age and numerous terminals served with dry and liquid storage facilities, inside and outside warehousing for general cargo, heavy lift cargo equipment roll-on full-off berth age and container handling facilities.
